HEROES, CULT AND CUISINE
This series of 45-minute documentaries tells about the many myths and tales full of adventures concerning Mediterranean and European cuisine. The time spectrum covered by this series spans across over 2000 years, from the tales of the Gods of ancient Greece and food as a sacrificial offering to food as an aphrodisiac. The causal relations leading to a lack of crop causing catastrophic famine are examined as well as and mankind's insatiable appetite for exotic spices and new delicacies, which made adventurers leave their shore and venture out into parts of the world that were unknown to them.
